About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Owner in our Branch Systems & Technology as part of Consumer Technology.

The Integrated Agent Desktop (IAD) product is modernizing how customer facing employees serve our customers, designed to simplify how bankers, tellers, and customer service agents access systems, authenticate customers, and complete servicing workflows.

The L1 Product Owner is responsible for owning and managing the day‑to‑day delivery execution for two agile delivery teams. This role ensures that team backlogs are well‑defined, prioritized, and ready for delivery, and that completed work meets defined acceptance criteria, quality standards, and control requirements.

The L1 Product Owner serves as the team‑level business authority, enabling predictable delivery while balancing business outcomes, technical dependencies, risk considerations, and regulatory requirements.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs and initiatives which have impact across the enterprise with broad impact
  • Act as key participant in large-scale planning
  • Review and analyze complex digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area
  • Influence digital strategy for the business line requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
  • Make decisions in digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area requiring strong understanding of the business, policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements
  • Lead a broad team of digital professionals to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Potentially lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or product owner
  • 5+ years of experience as part of an agile delivery team


Desired Qualifications:

  • Branch banking experience
  • Deep experience operating in Agile delivery environments, with strong ownership of backlog management, prioritization, sequencing, and maintaining delivery readiness aligned to product objectives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile planning and refinement practices, including leading backlog refinement sessions, ensuring Definition of Ready standards, and supporting predictable sprint execution.
  • Strong capability in writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria, partnering closely with analysts and delivery teams to ensure clarity, testability, and alignment with business outcomes.
  • Hands‑on delivery leadership within Scrum or Agile teams, acting as the primary business decision maker during sprint planning, execution, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Proven experience coordinating across Agile teams and stakeholders, actively managing dependencies, sequencing, and cross‑team alignment to support integrated delivery.
  • Working knowledge of Agile quality, risk, and control expectations, including UAT participation, defect prioritization, and adherence to governance, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Comfort leveraging modern, AI‑enabled Agile ways of working, using approved tools to improve backlog quality, story definition, and delivery efficiency while communicating clearly with business and technology partners.
  • Clear, leadership-ready communication style, with ability to connect delivery to outcomes with concise narratives.
