About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the International Wholesale Operations Change Management team. This team plays a critical role in delivering large scale, transformational change across the enterprise, supporting the strategic evolution of Wholesale Operations.
The Business Analyst will partner closely with Operations to deliver both technology enabled and non technology change initiatives, ensuring solutions are effectively designed, implemented, and fully embedded into business as usual operations.
Working alongside the Project Management function, the role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Legal, to ensure end to end alignment across planning, design, governance, and delivery.
The position will contribute to operating model improvements, process optimisation, and control enhancement initiatives within a complex, regulated Investment Banking environment.
Prior experience delivering Operating Model change within an Investment Banking or Markets Operations context is highly beneficial, alongside recognised qualifications in Business Analysis (e.g. IIBA, BCS, or equivalent).
Candidates with demonstrated experience delivering or supporting Tri Party Repo frameworks at other financial institutions, including custody interactions and collateral lifecycle processes, will be considered particularly strong candidates for this role.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for Situation Investigation and Problem Analysis, Feasibility Assessments, Business Case Development, Process and Service Improvement, Business Acceptance Testing, Business Change Deployment and Requirements Definition.
Run discovery, elicitation and design workshops with stakeholders at varying levels to ensure problem statements are fully understood, that requirements are holistic and that they are documented to the highest standards).
Define and document requirements and user stories using Jira as prescribed by the team and run appropriate meetings to validate the artefacts produced prior to signoff.
Work closely with Project Management to ensure that the project remains on track and progress communicated frequently in line with key artefacts provided.
Build relationships and influence Internal and external stakeholders to help navigate Wells Fargo move towards the future state in line with the firm strategy and business objectives.
Collaborate with Technology and Operations teams to deliver optimal solutions.
Maintain up to date working knowledge of the industry and ensure that the organization’s interests are considered.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in Institutional Investment Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
Display strong understanding of Tri‑Party Repo product structures, including trade lifecycle, settlement, margining, substitutions, corporate actions, and close‑out flows, typically involving agent banks such as custodians.
Need to possess front‑to‑back repo operations knowledge, covering Trade Capture, Confirmation, Settlement, Collateral Management, Reconciliation, Fails, and Break Resolution.
Be familiar with collateral eligibility, valuation, margin calls, substitutions, and reuse, including dependencies on reference data and market data sources.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for senior stakeholders.
Resilient, organised with a high degree of attention to detail.
Excellent documentation skills ensuring traceability of the delivery back to requirements.
Experience documenting testing strategies, coordinating testing efforts across multiple platforms and business functions, capturing and documenting UAT results, creation of test scripts and managing and communicating progress.
Experience working within both waterfall and agile methods of project delivery.
Fluent in the following applications: All MS Office Application and Agile Enterprise Jira, and Confluence.
