Wells Fargo is seeking an Analyst, Securities Sales for our Municipal Products Group (MPG) as part of Markets. This group provides investment banking, municipal derivatives, investor solutions, institutional sales, secondary trading and underwriting services to issuer and investor clients. The group is comprised of the following businesses: Public Finance Origination, Municipal Sales, Trading, & Underwriting, Investor Finance, and Municipal Derivatives Trading. In this role, you will:
Provide comprehensive and consistent support to Municipal Sales, Trading, and Underwriting teams for delivery of quality service to MPG clients
Identify and develop actionable trade ideas through continuous monitoring of market flows, pricing dynamics, and dislocations
Proactively convey information across sales, trading, and clients to support timely and informed execution
Formulate and present recommendations for clients, exercising independent judgment while developing expertise in policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Interact with internal and external customers and provide backup sales coverage for the Municipal Sales team
Facilitate trade execution through timely and accurate entry of municipal trades across all required systems
Enter and manage new issue orders in Ipreo in coordination with the sales and syndicate teams
Monitor trades daily and coordinate with the internal settlement and trade allocation teams, as well as clients, to ensure accurate, timely trade execution and settlement
Partner with the Municipal Middle Office team to proactively limit MSRB late trades
Manage daily RTTM break resolution in coordination with the P&S group
Create new customer accounts and manage onboarding and AML processes for new investor clients
Complete requests from Compliance, AML, and Client Accounts business partners to update documentation and customer account information
Maintain tracking of client engagement and value to support sales, coverage, and reporting initiatives
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within Municipal Sales
Support the sales team and broader business by completing ad hoc projects
Continuously enhance municipal product knowledge through ongoing learning of new products, credit developments, and market trends
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus
- Successfully passed FINRA examinations including the SIE, Series 7, Series 52, and Series 63 preferred
Municipal industry experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with Excel capabilities
Demonstrated knowledge of securities products and services
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment
Highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 52 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
