Senior ServiceNow Engineer

Wells Fargo is back in the office, collaborating for fabulous outcomes!

This role is a hybrid position in the office three days a week.

There is no Visa Sponsorships or Visa Transfers for this role.

If you’ve worked on the “core” of a ServiceNow platform—the parts that everything else depends on—you know how much impact the right engineering decisions can have. At Wells Fargo, this Senior Engineer role sits at that center, combining platform engineering with oversight of performance, integrations, and overall system health. You’ll partner across teams to not only build and support critical functionality but also define how the platform operates at scale—through documentation, automation, reporting frameworks, and thoughtful governance that reduces noise and prevents issues before they start. We are looking for an experienced Service Now Professional.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Engineer on our ServiceNow Core Fulfillment and Platform Health team.  The Core Fulfillment and Platform Health team is responsible for supporting the foundation of the ServiceNow platform that is shared and leveraged by the other ServiceNow product tenants.

Provide technical oversight and fulfillment for ServiceNow access and entitlements.

Diagnose and resolve complex, production‑impacting ServiceNow issues related to performance, access, data integrity, and configuration.

Lead or contribute to the design and improvement of scalable, secure platform solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Triage and resolve high‑complexity or high‑visibility ServiceNow incidents.

Reduce operational noise by correcting platform configuration gaps, improving routing logic, and addressing poor intake patterns.

Own and maintain authoritative ServiceNow platform documentation, with a focus on driving self‑service adoption and preventing avoidable incidents.

Identify and remediate gaps in documentation or process clarity that result in misrouted tickets, manual remediation, or unnecessary escalation.

Assist with expansion of an automated fulfillment catalog for our teams.

Partner with ServiceNow Core Engineering, Platform Support, IAM, and Knowledge Management teams to ensure clear ownership and sustainable operational practices.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, standardization, and reduction of manual or error‑prone processes.

Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

4+ years of ServiceNow Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Proven ability to create clear, effective technical and operational documentation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across highly matrixed teams.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with building Service Catalog request items.

Experience with building ServiceNow Dashboards and Reports.

Experience in resolving complex production issues with minimal oversight.
