Senior Credit / Lending Officer

Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated client centric, sales and originations professional to partner with commercial and underwriting organizations to support new lending opportunity development, internal transaction review and decisioning and growth advancement in a large. fast paced, structured deal environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Support origination efforts by screening new opportunities, coordinating internal diligence, and helping advance transactions through the pipeline
  • Analyze client business models, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial performance to support deal structuring and credit positioning
  • Lead execution of moderately complex transactions in partnership with senior originators and coverage teams, including:
    – Preparing and revising PAC memos and internal approval materials
    – Developing and updating client proposal letters
    – Coordinating internal approval processes across credit, capital, and risk
    – Incorporating client feedback and market dynamics into structure and pricing
  • Partner closely with coverage, underwriting, credit risk, legal, and product teams to resolve issues, refine structure, and meet transaction timelines
  • Independently resolve structuring, documentation, and process-related issues while ensuring alignment with credit policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Provide feedback on market dynamics, competitive positioning, and client needs to support product development and improve credit solution delivery
  • Contribute to broader business initiatives, including pipeline management, internal reporting, and development of materials for senior management discussions
  • Evaluate and align deal structure across approval materials and client-facing documents, identifying inconsistencies and ensuring alignment with credit requirements and final documentation
  • Perform pricing and return analysis (ROE, spreads, fees), assess the impact of structural changes, and recommend adjustments to improve competitiveness while maintaining appropriate risk-adjusted returns
  • Manage multiple live transactions concurrently, prioritizing deliverables and ensuring timely progression from screening through approval and proposal issuance
  • Support development of presentation materials, internal summaries, and comparison analyses used for decision-making and approval discussions


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial underwriting, portfolio management, or structured credit analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or related field
  • Completed a formal credit training program and/or demonstrated strong familiarity with credit structuring and documentation
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Advanced experience in MS Office suite of products (Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a client-facing or deal execution role with a focus on problem solving and transaction support
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$120,000.00 - $196,000.00
