The WIM Head of Digital & Direct Investments Product Management (AI First) is a senior product leader accountable for shaping and delivering digital and advisor enabled investment capabilities across Wells Fargo’s digital and direct channels. Reporting to the Head of the WIM Chief Product Office, this role leads product strategy, design, and prioritization to drive scalable growth, strong risk management, and an industry leading client experience.
Operating with a clear AI first mindset, this leader ensures that all new product development and platform modernization efforts natively embed artificial intelligence to enhance advisor effectiveness, deepen client engagement, and materially improve operational efficiency. This role is also accountable for ensuring clear alignment between business plan priorities, financial commitments, and the Digital & Direct Investments Book of Work, translating strategy into executable, capacity aware roadmaps. Partnering closely with Digital & Direct Investments leadership, advisors, product, technology, risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams, the role translates complex high net worth client and advisor needs into clear product vision, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes that align with enterprise strategy and regulatory expectations.
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and set the product vision and strategic direction for Digital and Direct Investments, aligned to WIM business priorities, enterprise AI strategy, and regulatory posture.
- Translate client, advisor, and business needs into outcome oriented product strategies and roadmaps across digital, self directed, and hybrid investing channels.
- Own alignment between the DDI Book of Work, business plan commitments, and financial objectives, ensuring prioritization decisions are outcome driven and delivery ready.
- Ensure alignment with WIM strategy, enterprise AI direction, risk posture, and regulatory requirements.
AI First Product Leadership
- Drive end to end integration of AI across client experiences, advisor tools, investment workflows, and operational processes.
- Partner closely with AI, data science, and technology teams to ensure responsible, compliant, and high impact AI deployment.
- Establish clear success measures linking AI capabilities to business outcomes such as advisor productivity, client engagement, conversion, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure AI capabilities are operationalized through workflow integration, adoption planning, and measurable value realization, not standalone deployment.
Cross Functional Delivery & Governance
- Lead execution of highly complex, enterprise aligned initiatives spanning platform modernization, digital advice capabilities, and investment workflow transformation.
- Collaborate across Digital & Direct Investments leadership, technology, risk, legal, compliance, and operations to ensure disciplined delivery, strong governance, and clear accountability.
- Own prioritization trade offs, dependency management, and investment decisions across a complex, interdependent portfolio of initiatives.
- Provide clear executive level visibility into execution progress, risks, dependencies, and decision points across the DDI portfolio.
Client & Advisor Experience
- Elevate the digital and advisor enabled investment experience with a focus on simplicity, consistency, and personalization.
- Leverage AI to improve relevance, engagement, and outcomes at scale across client journeys.
- Balance innovation with platform stability, simplification, and decommission efforts to reduce complexity and operational risk.
Risk, Controls & Leadership
- Embed risk management, controls, and compliance into product design from inception.
- Provide senior level visibility into execution progress, emerging risks, and leadership decision needs.
- Build and develop a high performing product management team and culture focused on execution rigor, responsible innovation, and measurable results.
- Develop next generation product management capabilities, including AI literacy, modern product practices, and strong execution discipline across teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Deep product management experience, including senior leadership roles within wealth management, digital investing, or financial services platforms, with accountability for enterprise‑scale outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to set and execute digital and direct investment product strategies, translating complex client, advisor, and business needs into scalable, AI‑enabled capabilities and measurable business results.
- Proven track record leading end‑to‑end delivery of large, complex, enterprise‑aligned initiatives across digital investment platforms, advisor tools, AI integration, and core investment workflows.
- Strong cross‑functional leadership experience partnering closely with technology, AI and data science, risk, legal, compliance, operations, and business leaders to ensure disciplined execution, governance, and regulatory alignment.
- Deep understanding of wealth management products, digital and advisor‑enabled investment workflows, personalization, and the regulatory and risk frameworks governing investment platforms.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership, drive strategic trade‑offs, and maintain execution discipline across a matrixed enterprise environment.
- Experience with digital advice, self‑directed investing, or direct‑to‑consumer investment platforms, including scaling capabilities in complex, highly regulated environments.
- Background leading platform modernization, AI‑native product development, or large‑scale technology and operating model transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of responsible AI, model risk management, data governance, and regulatory considerations, with proven ability to embed compliant AI practices into product delivery at scale.
- Demonstrated success tying AI‑enabled capabilities directly to client experience improvements, operational efficiency, growth, and risk mitigation outcomes.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
