About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Network Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the installation, support and maintenance of network infrastructure
  • Provide technical support to end users regarding hardware and application issues
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems
  • Integrate, maintain, and consolidate network services including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and network security
  • Develop and follow best practices and operational procedures
  • Maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures, including change management and ticket updates
  • Utilize security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Network Routing, Switching, firewall and security experience (e.g. Cisco,  Arista, F5s, Palo Alto, FortiGate Cisco/Arista wireless etc)
  • 2+ years of experience in Routers & switches and other network security products
  • 2+ years of experience in network management/monitoring products (such as splunk, ServiceNow, HPNA etc)
  • 1+ years of experience in automation/Anisble playbooks/software development with Agile experience will be added.


Job Expectations:

  • Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services.
  • Configure and manage network security tools and solutions, such as firewall, proxy, intrusion detection systems and data encryption.
  • Maintaining and updating firewall and network security hardware and software to ensure adherence around defined compliance norms to protect against vulnerabilities, bugs etc.
  • Research and evaluate new network security technologies to ensure optimal security for the organization.
  • Develop policies and procedures for information security.
  • Conduct technical investigation of network firewall / security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
  • Provide network security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting on related security incidents and risk assessments.
  • Review and correlate network security logs to ensure faster identification, resolution issues and mitigation of risk.
