About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Associate within Chief Operating Office (COO) Technology to support Global Operations Technology initiatives focused on improving employee experience, operational efficiency, and enterprise application performance.
In this role, you will analyze workforce technology data to help identify opportunities to improve how employees interact with applications and systems across the organization. You will work with platforms that provide visibility into application performance, device health, and user experience, leveraging data and AI-driven insights to identify issues, measure impact, and improve productivity by enhancing the digital workplace experience.
You will play a key role in supporting the connection between business needs and technology capabilities by helping teams proactively understand system performance, anticipate potential issues, and improve coordination across engineering and operations teams. This role contributes to strengthening how the organization manages change, reduces reactive issue resolution, and improves transparency and alignment across cross-functional partners.
This position offers a unique opportunity for early-career professionals to gain exposure to enterprise-scale systems, data-driven decision-making, and AI-enabled analytics. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to support initiatives that improve user experience, enhance system reliability, and drive continuous improvement across a large and complex technology environment.
You will also participate in the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program. The CODE program is a two-year engineering development experience designed for individuals who are early in their technical careers. The program is intended for candidates with approximately 6 months to 2 years of hands-on engineering experience.
The CODE Program offers meaningful, real-world work combined with structured professional development, mentorship, and exposure to a broad range of technologies across the enterprise. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible for promotion and continued employment, subject to business needs and performance expectations.
CODE provides:
Immersive onboarding and foundational technical training
A supportive cohort experience of peers starting their tech careers
Dedicated mentors and program managers who guide your development
Professional development, career coaching, and workshops
Wells Fargo only considers candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who do not require work visa sponsorship now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

Analyze employee technology data (performance, incidents, usage trends) to identify issues and opportunities to improve user experience
Support early identification of technology risks and help track remediation efforts across engineering and business teams
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (security, network, workplace tech) to support resolution of system issues and improve reliability
Translate technical data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders to support better decision-making
Contribute to improving processes that shift teams from reactive issue resolution to proactive problem prevention
Assist with testing, rollout, and continuous improvement of tools that monitor and enhance employee technology experience
Note: This role focuses on data analysis and insights, rather than building software. It involves using data to identify trends, understanding system performance, and support improvements to the employee technology experience.
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:

Experience analyzing data or system performance over time, including identifying trends, troubleshooting issues, or supporting dashboards and reporting efforts
Exposure to AI and automation tools within the past year, including working with Generative AI concepts or applying AI to analyze data and improve processes
Experience working with programming languages such as Python and/or Java, applied to data analysis, scripting, or application support
Collaborative experience in team-based environments, including working with engineering or cross-functional teams and communicating findings or insights
Experience contributing to the software development lifecycle or operational processes, including testing, issue tracking, or supporting release activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word, managing email and calendars in Outlook, and building presentations in PowerPoint.
Experience communicating technical issues or access-related concerns across technical and non-technical teams.
