About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President, Lead Corporate Banking Relationship Manager as part of the Financial Institutions (non-Banks) Corporate Banking team within the Corporate & Investment Bank. The Vice President, Lead Corporate Banking Relationship Manager will join one of the industry’s leading Financial Institutions practices, which covers insurance, asset management, and market structure companies.
This VP relationship manager role will cover clients directly and support Senior Corporate Banking Relationship Managers who are responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships.
Relationship managers identify clients’ needs and deliver the full platform of Wells Fargo’s capabilities including Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, M&A related Acquisition Finance, Treasury Management, Macro solutions, Global Receivables & Trade and Credit. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to develop internal and external relationships and have relevant corporate banking experience. Work experience in the Non-bank Financial Institutions sector experience is a plus.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross functional with broad impact and act as key participant in relationship management and business development for Corporate Banking functional area
Strive to broaden and deepen customer relationships by providing integrated, end-to-end financial solutions to our customers across multiple product platforms
Participate in the completion of major transactions with management
Originate, structure and execute the largest most complex transactions related to investment banking, traditional corporate lending or their credit related products
Demonstrate a strategic and consultative approach with clients
Identify opportunities and organize the right internal partners and team to form the relationship team
Pipeline development, prospecting, and preparation of marketing materials
Strategically collaborate and consult with peers and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Lead and mentor Analysts and Associates to deliver high quality solutions in highly formatted and concise materials for clients
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong accounting skills and ability to analyze financial statements
Relationship management or client-facing experience
Credit underwriting experience highly desired
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Advanced skills in presentation materials development
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
