We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with an ability to lead AI initiatives within Crypto Trading at Wells Fargo. This is an exciting time to be in Wealth Management Technology. In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java 

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience on micro services development

  • 5+ years of experience on financial service domain

  • 3+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting APIs

  • 3+ years of Kafka experience

  • 3+ years platform management / reliability management  

  • 1+ years working with AI software development tools (GitHub Co-Pilot, Agents, etc.)

  • 1+ years of experience in AI Architecture

  • 1+ years Snowflake experience

  • 1+ years Databricks experience

  • 1+ years Spark experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience building RESTful services using Spring Boot etc. 

  • Experience supporting trading, market data, or FIX-based systems 

  • Experience conducting code reviews, ensuring code quality, and supporting production readiness 

  • Experience with cloud‑native architectures, including container platforms such as Kubernetes 

  • Working knowledge of software architecture and solution design principles 

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub‑based workflows, and modern developer tooling like Visual Studio Code 

  • Knowledge of application security practices, including identifying and addressing vulnerabilities using tools like SonarQube 

  • Ability to lead and work with global team

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
