About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

  • Strong Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education

  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core (ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core)

  • Proficiency with SQL Server and relational database design, query optimization

  • Experience with RESTful API design and development

  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns

  • Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 8 and above, Web API, Entity Framework Core
  • Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
  • Microservices architecture design and implementation
  • Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, MemoryCache)

Front-End Development

  • Proficiency in Angular or React with TypeScript
  • Responsive UI development, component-based architecture
  • Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI, Angular Material)
  • Experience with Single Page Application (SPA) patterns and performance optimization

Design and Architecture

  • Experience designing scalable, distributed systems
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, CQRS, and domain-driven design
  • API gateway patterns, circuit breakers, service discovery
  • Understanding of system resiliency, performance tuning, and high-availability patterns

DevOps & Tools

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (EPL-X DevOps, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Automated build and release processes
  • Strong experience using Git-based source control
  • Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift

GEN AI Tools

  • Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot / GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
  • Ability to use AI tools for:
    • Code generation and refactoring
    • Unit test generation
    • Debugging and documentation
  • Understanding of secure and responsible AI usage within enterprise standards

Quality, Testing & Security

  • Experience with unit testing and integration testing (xUnit, NUnit,  Moq)
  • Front-end testing (Jest, Karma, Cypress, or Playwright)
  • API validation and contract testing
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security fundamentals (OWASP)
  • Exposure to logging, monitoring, and diagnostics tools (Application Insights, Splunk, ELK)

Professional Skills

  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to own components/modules independently

Job Expectations:

  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications using .NET Core / .NET 8+

  • Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features in an Agile environment

  • Develop responsive, high-quality Angular-based front-end applications

  • Ensure code quality through best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns

  • Optimize database performance and manage data access using EF Core and SQL Server

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

  • Contribute to application security, scalability, and reliability improvements

  • Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality
