About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Digital Product Manager to join the Retail Services business and drive product development for installment loan originations. This role owns the end-to-end product roadmap, translating strategic objectives into prioritized features and user stories that deliver measurable customer and business value. The role will partner cross-functionally with technology, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and customer-centric digital lending experiences.
In this role, you will:
- Articulate and evolve the product vision, strategy, and priorities aligned to business goals
- Own and maintain a clear, outcome-driven product roadmap for installment loan originations
- Oversee multiple Agile teams, enabling high-quality delivery through iterative development
- Define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog aligned to strategic objectives
- Ensure effective sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement
- Convert business strategies, regulatory requirements, and operational needs into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and compliance requirements in prioritization decisions
- Develop deep knowledge of product capabilities, operating processes, and technical architecture
- Serve as a subject matter expert for stakeholders across the organization
- Partner with engineering, design, risk, compliance, operations, and external partners to deliver end-to-end capabilities
- Represent installment loan originations in large-scale planning and enterprise initiatives
- Define success metrics and monitor product performance using data, reporting, and feedback loops
- Use insights to continuously improve the originations customer experience
- Ensure all initiatives adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks
- Proactively identify and mitigate product and operational risks
- Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
- Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working in an agile environment, managing tradeoffs and executing day to day backlog prioritization and refinement; defining release plans aligned to the product strategy and roadmap
- Proven experience leading complex digital initiatives from strategy through execution, balancing speed, risk, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to build consumer lending products grounded in customer needs and insights
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and collaborative design practices
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data to inform decisions
- Ability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels
- Experience translating complex technical and business concepts for diverse audiences
- Background in Financial Services or FinTech
- Experience operating in highly regulated environments with strong understanding of risk, compliance, and audit processes
- Experience leading Scrum teams in matrixed, geographically distributed organizations
- Ability to influence, motivate, and guide teams across decentralized environments
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Tableau (or similar)
- Comfortable leveraging data and AI-powered tools to support decision-making and delivery
- Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional, complex, and interrelated concepts into clear, consumable, implications, actions, and decisions
- Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels
- Exceptional problem solving abilities
- Exceptional ability to translate complex business and operational concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate results
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
