About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Analytics Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s data analytics function, transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role oversees analytics teams, manages data-driven projects, and partners with business stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the data analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts and/or data scientists.
  • Establish best practices for data analysis, governance, and reporting standards.
  • Drive a data-driven culture across the organization.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
  • Oversee development of dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Deliver insights through advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting systems.

3. Business Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Technology product owners, Risk & Controls )
  • Provide data-backed recommendations to senior leadership and executives.
  • Support strategic initiatives through predictive and prescriptive analytics.

4. Technology & Tools

  • Manage and optimize analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python).
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure scalable data pipelines.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.

5. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance standards are followed.
  • Establish data management frameworks and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years of Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in team leadership or management.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or SQL.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in enterprise environments (e.g., financial services, technology, consulting).
  • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong understanding of data governance and regulatory frameworks.

The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end analytics lifecycle—from data acquisition and preparation to insight generation and executive reporting. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership capability.

You will lead a team of analysts to design and deliver scalable analytics solutions, including dashboards, reporting frameworks, and predictive models. You will work closely with stakeholders across business units to understand their objectives, translate them into analytical requirements, and provide data-driven recommendations that influence key decisions.

A critical aspect of the role involves ensuring data integrity, governance, and compliance with organizational standards. You will also be responsible for driving innovation by introducing advanced analytics techniques, automation, and modern data tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.

This position requires strong communication skills to present complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between technology, data, and business outcomes.
