Lead Product Owner

About this role:

The Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Chief Product Office is seeking a Lead Product Owner to drive product change for the Advisory Platform group.  The Advisory Platform is a high visibility, advisor facing product group with direct impact on the consistency and quality of the wealth management experience, requiring strong and consistent product ownership across multiple teams.

You will drive the delivery of innovative, customer-centric solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards. As a Lead Product Manager on the team, you will shape value propositions, champion product innovation, and partner cross-functionally to deliver seamless, integrated experiences that balance growth, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational excellence.

This role requires a strong understanding of the firm’s product offerings, financial acumen, and the ability to influence across stakeholders to ensure solutions remain competitive, compliant, and responsive to evolving customer needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and own the strategic vision for the experience across consumer and business segments including, but not limited to, advisory products
  • Provide end to end product management ownership across the Advisory Platform, with each role accountable for two scrum teams and overall delivery outcomes within their scope
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology delivery, and advisor experience outcomes
  • Lead release planning, dependency management, and open issue governance to ensure consistent and coordinated execution across teams
  • Drive alignment across multiple Product Owners to ensure consistency in prioritization, execution standards, and delivery cadence across the platform
  • Engage directly with business owners, technology leads, and operations partners to drive decision making and maintain delivery momentum without escalation
  • Manage and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring clear requirements, defined scope, and alignment to strategic objectives across teams
  • Lead resolution of complex product and delivery challenges, balancing business needs, technical constraints, and risk considerations
  • Advance the Advisory Platform roadmap by incorporating AI enabled capabilities to enhance personalization, decision support, and workflow efficiency
  • Operate as de facto stream leads within a flatter organizational model, absorbing coordination responsibilities previously handled at the management layer
  • Ensure adherence to risk, control, compliance, and regulatory requirements across all product management activities


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated Product Owner expertise in agile delivery methodologies to drive technology-enabled change using tools such as Jira, Story Weaver, Octane, Confluence, and related platforms
  • Proven ability to lead product and process discovery, process modeling, and continuous process improvement, supported by a strong process improvement mindset
  • Strong understanding of risk management and control concepts within a banking or other regulated financial services environment
  • Knowledge and exposure to the Financial Advisory model and business needs
  • Successful track record of managing and coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously, while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting tight deadlines
  • High level of comfort working in ambiguous or uncertain environments, with the ability to translate incomplete or complex information into clear, measurable, and actionable concepts
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and across all organizational levels, demonstrating flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong creative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, applied to solving complex business, operational, and technology challenges
  • High level of proficiency in leveraging data, metrics, and financial analysis to identify opportunities and solve complex business challenges


Job Expectations:

  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
