About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accountant - Payroll.

Join a high-impact global accounting team supporting international operational finance across APAC, EMEA, India, and the Philippines. This role blends core financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and tax/accounting integration, providing end-to-end visibility into financial operations across multiple jurisdictions.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide consultation to more experienced leadership for financial accounting related matters
  • Perform complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, developing financial statements and regulatory reports
  • Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports
  • Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
  • Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems
  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies
  • Provide functional advice and training to individuals
  • Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/ACCA preferred)

  • Experience supporting international or multi-jurisdictional operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience with multi-country accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of internal controls and audit processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to work in a global, fast-paced environment
  • Interest in automation, transformation, and continuous improvement


Job Expectations:

  • Perform complex accounting activities including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and review financial statements, regulatory reports, and account certifications
  • Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities across multiple regions
  • Collaborate across APAC, EMEA, India, and the Philippines to standardize processes
  • Support tax accounting activities including workpapers, audit support, and compliance
  • Execute internal controls and governance processes and support audits
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and process gaps
  • Participate in process automation, system enhancements, and transformation initiatives
  • Engage with global finance, tax, payroll, and systems stakeholders
  • Global exposure across APAC, EMEA, India, and Philippines
  • Broad scope combining accounting, tax, and operational finance
  • High visibility with cross-functional leadership

Financial Accounting:  Covers jobs responsible for recording, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions, as well as preparing and reviewing financial statements.
