We are seeking an Information Security Consultant to drive security risk, controls, and GRC platform capabilities across a large-scale financial services environment.
This role is ideal for someone who blends hands-on cybersecurity expertise with GRC platform engineering (OpenPages preferred)—supporting everything from control design and testing to platform optimization and predictive risk insights.
This is NOT a remediation/audit or close out tickets kind of job. You are a builder - his role is a hands-on specialist that builds and configures. You’ll create workflows and review, draft, and refine control standards for business impact. You’re the voice of reason and are comfortable working with people and able to make sound recommendations and modifications to the system.
You're the kind of person who can:
Provide advanced data aggregation and analysis of information security risk exposure
Review, draft, and refine control standards for business impact and recommend modifications or clarifications
Conduct security control testing and provide consultation with stakeholders
Evaluate and interpret internal and enterprise information security policies and recommend improvements
Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and achieve security objectives
Interact with internal customers and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
What you’ll do:
Configure, maintain, and optimize GRC platforms (preference for IBM OpenPages)
Support GRC processes including control testing, issue management, and compliance monitoring
Participate in functional testing, data validation, and regression testing for system enhancements and defect resolution
Engage in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by reviewing requirements, testing changes, and supporting production readiness
Design and implement logical and technical workflows within GRC tools
Perform root cause analysis to resolve system or process issues
Apply deep cybersecurity and risk management expertise to assess threats, identify gaps, and recommend mitigation strategies
Ensure alignment with key industry standards including NIST, CRI, and OWASP
Provide consultative guidance to business and technical stakeholders on risk, controls, and tool usage
Deliver clear, concise communications and presentations to leadership and cross-functional audiences
Apply pre-deterministic and generative AI techniques to enhance analysis, insights, and predictive risk modeling
Operate effectively in dynamic, fast-changing environments with evolving requirements
What sets you apart
Experience configuring IBM OpenPages (nice to have)
Background in large financial services environments
Strong consulting mindset with the ability to influence and drive outcomes
Hands-on cybersecurity experience focused on solution development (not SOC/NOC or pure audit)
Ability to follow direction while exercising independent judgment and adaptability
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
