About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Supply Chain Associate Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise entry-to-mid level roles in planning and implementing purchasing programs, on-going measurement, monitoring, and reporting of supplier performance tasks and processes to ensure timely completion, quality and compliance in Supply Chain
  • Identify opportunities for all aspects of negotiations and may customize legal language and draft non-standard contract terms and conditions to proactively address supply chain and business issues in less complex functions
  • Make day-to-day supervisory and tactical decisions and resolve issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operations under direction of Supply Chain management
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with Vendors, and managers
  • Train less experienced supply chain managers within the team
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Supply Chain
  • Be responsible for selection, evaluation, and development of staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Supply Chain experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ years of leadership experience

  • Identify opportunities for all aspects Procure to Pay and proactively address supply chain and business issues.
  • Make day-to-day supervisory and tactical decisions and resolve issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operations under direction of Supply Chain management
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with Vendors, and managers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Supply Chain
  • Be responsible for selection, evaluation, and development of staff
  • Helps Team in initiating purchasing contracts and associated purchase orders. Analyzes, recommends, and leads implementation of process improvements to streamline and automate existing repeatable work steps and procedures to deliver further efficiencies
  • Responsible for tracking supplier performance and will provide where necessary reporting and monitoring of inventory levels
  • Administer the team through coaching, performance and development discussions, and delivery against SLAs and objectives
  • Determination to minimize risk of buying operations and continuously meet or exceed departmental SLA measurements.
  • Leads and provides guidance to buyers. Continuously seeks opportunities to mentor team members and identifies development needs.
  • Lead Projects that result in identification, recommendation, and implementation of improvements in tools and processes
  • Responsible for routine to moderately complex purchase orders across categories such as PC hardware, software, furniture & equipment, bank & security equipment, building improvements/maintenance, and leased or rented products, services, and equipment.
  • Utilizes eProcurement systems and processes while ensuring accurate transactional and orderable product identifier data.
  • Provides operational support to the Buying Team for both domestic and international locations.
  • Manages the Supplier Enablement function, including supplier setup and onboarding activities.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of supplier enablement processes for U.S. and international locations.
  • Ensures suppliers are fully enabled and compliant across platforms such as Ariba.
  • Supports PO-based buying, electronic invoicing, and accurate payment term configuration.
  • Bridges the gap between contractual agreements and system setup to prevent operational issues.
  • Helps reduce invoice rejections, payment delays, manual interventions, and Accounts Payable escalations.
  • Acts as a key preventive control by ensuring supplier data accuracy and compliance.
  • Drives proactive supplier onboarding, education, and issue resolution.
  • Minimizes rework, duplicate efforts across Procurement and AP teams, and compliance risks related to supplier data and payment terms.
