About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer
In this role, you will:
Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services
Identify opportunity for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans
Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supporting low to medium risk technical deliverables
Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries
Exercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standards
Work as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes
Provide information related to supported system area to functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal customers
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Provide L2 support experience with extensive debugging experience and incident management and problem management.

- ITSM tools (Incident, Change, RITM)
- Audit, compliance, BCP/DR support
- Security & Compliance (Ops‑Focused)
- Vulnerability & patch remediation
- Secure configuration enforcement
- Service account & access operations
- Coordination with AppSec / InfraSec teams
- Cloud & Modern Platforms
- Hybrid cloud operations
- Application migration support (rehost/replatform)
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Confluence (runbooks, SOPs, architecture)
- SharePoint (trackers, governance artifacts)
- Take appropriate steps to bring any open support cases to resolution in timely manner.
- Provide applications and product support by checking issues in Splunk and have experience working on Splunk queries and creating dashboards and setting up notification in Splunk.
- Work on designing, operationalizing, maintaining and scaling production MW applications in Tomcat, JBoss, Apache and Weblogic.
- Identify Issue/problems related to process, assess, identify and fix performance related issues.
- Work on Deployment, Configuration management with good troubleshooting skills for MW Products
- Work on analyzing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required.
- Work extensively on innovation and service improvements.
- Identify and communicate the technical infrastructure requirements.
- Support existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Must have experience in scripting using Batch, Advanced Powershell and Python.
- Ability to think out of the box to design, build and implement solutions across various business lines
- Strong communications skills, both in writing and speaking.
