About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Analytics Consultant
In this role, you will:
Consult with business line and enterprise functions on less complex research
Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making
Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency
Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing
Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff
Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver actionable client and employee insights, enabling executives and business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions
- Design and implement Customer Listening and Integrated Insights frameworks for Commercial Banking using a scalable and phased approach
- Integrate and analyze data from multiple experience and operational data sources (VOC, complaints, operational metrics, etc.) to generate meaningful insights
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to translate business needs into analytics solutions, dashboards, and insight narratives
- Develop AI/ML-driven analytics, advanced reporting, and data visualization solutions to enhance decision-making
- Work with large, complex datasets (structured and unstructured) to perform deep-dive analysis and trend identification
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated pipelines using BI and analytics tools
- Recommend and leverage relevant data sources across enterprise systems to enrich insights
- Ensure adherence to data governance, data quality, and regulatory standards
- Translate analytical outputs into clear, business-friendly storytelling for senior stakeholders
- Collaborate across teams to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence
- Manage multiple priorities, stakeholder expectations, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
- Applies knowledge of business, customers, and/or products/services/portfolios to synthesize data to 'form a story' and align information to contrast/compare to industry perspective
- Ability to work overlap hours with US team
- Shift 1:30-10:30 pm
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate brings strong analytics expertise combined with business understanding and stakeholder management capabilities:
- 2+ years of experience in AI led analytics, reporting, or data-driven roles, or a degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, engineering, economics, or computer science
- Hands-on experience in Python, SAS, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau / Power BI / SSRS) for analytics and data visualization
- Experience working with large datasets across multiple platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes (Alteryx, SSIS), and data lifecycle management
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable insights
- Strong data interpretation, storytelling, and presentation skills
- Experience working in cross-functional and global team environments
- High ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines
- Strong problem-solving ability, intellectual curiosity, and ability to quickly learn and adapt
- Willingness/ability to take ownership of a project
- Exceptionally fast learner, able to reach non-trivial SME level under tight deadlines
- High energy, can-do attitude, self-directed, pro-active, self-starter who excels in an environment with limited supervision
- Assist in managing multiple complex exercises in various stages simultaneously
- Assist in managing internal customer expectations while adhering to internal SLA timeframes
- Assist in integrating multiple viewpoints and synthesize key messages
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferred qualifications that enhance effectiveness in this role include:
- Experience in AI/ML led Analytics, Gen AI, statistical analysis and advanced analytics,
- Exposure to Python, or modern analytics ecosystems
- Experience in Customer Experience (CX), Voice of Customer (VOC), or complaints analytics
- Prior experience in financial services, particularly Commercial Banking
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products, processes, and platforms
- Familiarity with GenAI use cases, automation frameworks, and emerging analytics capabilities
- Understanding Wells Fargo Commercial Banking products, systems, and platforms
