About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Define & implement Performance test strategy for adopting microservices architecture & Cloud native applications
Implement light weight, open source and cloud supported Performance testing frameworks
Good exposure to Playwright and Test Automation tools like Octane and Hyper Execute
Strong expertise in performance testing, including script development, execution, analysis, and reporting using LoadRunner.
Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining JMeter test scripts for performance, load, and stress testing.
Proficient in leveraging Blaze meter for test execution, performance monitoring, test management, and scalability assessments.
Hands-on experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk Observability Cloud (SPOC), Grafana, and Prometheus.
Proficient in writing and optimizing Splunk queries for application log analysis, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
Knowledge of Chaos Engineering principles, with hands-on experience or exposure to chaos testing tools for validating system resilience under failure scenarios.
Experience in integrating performance testing tools with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated performance validation and continuous quality assurance.
Strong coding ability in at least one language (Python, Java, C++).
Implement & support Network & Service Virtualization
Collaboratively work with application teams to implement Enterprise Monitoring & Logging standards w.r.to AppDynamics & Splunk
Creates, prepares, and conducts SPLI quality assurance reviews and develops standard Test Methodology test plans
Perform SPLI tests to ensure all deliverables are production ready and as per SLAs
Provide technical guidance of performance testing to application developers, architects, business partners and management
Troubleshoot and resolve Performance Engineering issues concurrently on multiple projects
Have deep knowledge on Heap Memory and Garbage collection concepts and practical experience of configuring them
Experience and Exposure to DevOps tools like Maven, GitHub, Harness, Artifactory, Sonar and Jenkins
Be abreast of the Technological developments happening in the market and enlighten/educate the PT team
Train new team members on Performance testing & Engineering and methodology
Participate in driving initiatives within the Platform group
Exposure and experience in Agile development life cycle
Basic knowledge on DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Development activities.Good to have Cloud based performance Testing experience
Good to have certification on Load Runner or other performance Testing/Engineering tools and Application performance Monitoring tools
