About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated Engineering Associate to join an exciting, fast paced team working on network security technologies that are leveraged to protect information companywide. Candidate must have the ability to navigate ambiguity to take on initiative, identify opportunities and implement change independently. Also, ideal candidate should be familiar with network security domains with products such as firewalls, proxies, segmentation, and remote access technologies, including a high level understanding of various information technologies, development environments, and infrastructure. Additionally, individual must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a challenging environment.
In this role, you will support enterprise mainframe systems and core business platforms by assisting in system analysis, testing, and operational support activities. You will work in a collaborative agile environment alongside development teams, architecture, change management, and cross-functional partners to help deliver reliable, secure, and compliant technology solutions.
This position is ideal for early-career professionals interested in developing hands-on experience in system operations, data platforms, and application lifecycle support within a large-scale, highly regulated environment. You will gain exposure to mainframe systems, enterprise data platforms, and modern tools such as Python to support analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
You will also participate in the Career Opportunities in Development and Engineering (CODE) Program. The CODE program is a two-year engineering development experience designed for individuals who are early in their technical careers. The program is intended for candidates with approximately 6 months to 2 years of hands-on engineering experience.
The CODE Program offers meaningful, real-world work combined with structured professional development, mentorship, and exposure to a broad range of technologies across the enterprise. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible for promotion and continued employment, subject to business needs and performance expectations.

In this role, you will:
Manage small security projects end-to-end (document and execute plan, manage risks and issues, manage scope, etc.)
Participate in the design, development, integration, testing, deployment and support of security solutions for complex and challenging business requirements
Understand network security domains including Proxy, Remote Access, segmentation
Support implementation of moderate to complex automation efforts
Implement and document processes related to reporting or logging requirements
Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
Collaborate and consult with peers, senior engineers, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Required Qualifications:
6+ months of Technology Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Advanced Information Security technical skills and solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies
Automation experience
Experience with ServiceNow
Technical documentation experience
Experience with Information Security tools such as Web Proxy, VPN, Zero Trust, or Firewalls
Experience with logging/troubleshooting tools such as Splunk
Security log analysis experience
Job Expectations:
The selected candidate for this role must be able to begin employment by September 13, 2026, in a full-time capacity.
This position is required to work from the designated posted office location and must be able to meet all expectations of the current hybrid work schedule, including regular in‑office attendance as defined by the team and program requirements.
Actively engage in the two-year CODE Program, including participation in training, mentorship, networking events, and career development activities.
Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
