About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and talented individual who will form part of an agile group of professionals that will work across CBL’s core businesses and functions to provide deep analysis and strategic solutions to enable existing and new businesses to develop and expand. Specifically, we are looking for someone with an analytical acumen to lead and execute advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives that drive growth, retention, deepening, and profitability of Affluent/Premier Banking customers. Partner with Product, Wealth Management, Marketing, Risk, and Finance teams to develop data-driven strategies that enhance customer experience and business performance.

The work will involve identifying areas for opportunities and growth within each initiative leveraging analytical thinking & rigor to ensure that it correlates back to the overall strategy of the enterprise.


In this role, you will:

  • Drive close collaboration with affluent strategy team to align analytics efforts with key business priorities
  • Partner with strategy and finance team to integrate data-driven insights into customer segmentation strategy and decision-making
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables by utilizing data-driven, advanced analytical, statistical techniques, algorithms, or models to make actionable insights, trends, recommendations, or contribute to large-scale planning that has a broader impact
  • Review and analyze moderately complex, large structured and unstructured data sets from various sources, requiring an in-depth hypothesis generation and advanced analysis of variable factors to convert data into meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Independently analyze and resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of analytic capabilities
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to drive recommendations and strategies based on data-driven analytical insights, trends, and patterns that will resolve issues and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor for lower-level staff
  • Execute analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to discover solutions for abstract business problems across various domains
  • Interpret and analyze data, using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies
  • Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
  • Experience in data analysis, data extraction/manipulation and loading routines using SQL, Teradata, database structures and data warehouses.
  • Proficient in SQL, SAS/Python/PySpark, GCP 
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive the proposed solution -Leveraging the internal data expertise and coupling with industry views.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, requires collaboration with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers in driving data driven recommendations and strategies.   
  • Experience with statistics and basic statistical modeling techniques (i.e., regression, decision tree, random forest, clustering, segmentation etc.)  
  • Highly effective communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to create and present analytics, data visualizations, and insights in an executive-ready format
  • Drive business innovation by integrating GenAI to automate complex tasks, boost productivity, and enhance user experience
