About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer for the Infrastructure Automation and DevSecOps group, on the Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture (IEA) team. This role is an individual contributor, developing applications and services to power the future of software-defined infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. Products designed, developed, and deployed by this team enable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and its associated infrastructure APIs--supporting the technology fulfillment and operational excellence of all of Wells Fargo’s digital products and services across the world.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in software development initiatives and contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise applications
- Develop frontend and backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Build APIs, microservices, and automation capabilities to support platform engineering initiatives
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement scalable and secure technical solutions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Assist with troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support activities
- Contribute to AI-enabled solutions utilizing RAG and agentic workflow capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Software Development experience developing frontend and backend applications using modern software programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript)
- 2+ years of experience in developing stateful software which utilizes either traditional relational databases or alternatively non-relational databases
- 1+ years of experience implementing and managing software delivery pipelines using modern CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Harness, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools
- 2+ years of experience building, deploying, and supporting containerized applications on enterprise container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Amazon EKS, or Kubernetes-based environments
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and microservice-based architectures
- 6+ months of experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows in generative AI application development.

- Experience working in an agile environment
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Knowledge and understanding of application and web security
- Knowledge and understanding of technology performance: analysis, automated testing, and tuning for applications
- Golang software development experience
- Exposure to workflow orchestration platforms such as temporal.io
- Knowledge of one or more major Cloud Services Providers (CSPs) such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their primary web service offerings

- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
