About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Consultant to join the Chief Administration Office (CAO) Data Analytics and Insights Visualization team. This role partners directly with business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, define reporting requirements, and deliver impactful dashboards and analytics solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Power BI and/or Tableau, strong SQL and database skills, and a proven ability to translate complex business needs into scalable reporting and visualization products. This role supports key CAO functions, including Strategic Programs and Change Management, Supply Chain Management, and Enterprise Business Resiliency, while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.


In this role, you will:

  • Partner closely with peers, stakeholders, and mid‑level leaders to assess business needs, translate requirements into analytics solutions, and deliver actionable insights and trend analysis through business intelligence.
  • Lead Business Intelligence initiatives end to end, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring the consistent delivery of high‑quality, trusted insights across the organization.
  • Own the analysis of business, operational, and technical challenges, applying advanced data interpretation and visualization techniques to develop diagnostic analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  •  Leverage deep knowledge of data structures, domain context, and end‑user experience to shape the design and delivery of impactful data visualizations, including dashboards, reports, insights, and analytical products.
  •  Lead projects and teams, provide technical and analytical guidance, and mentor junior team members to build capability, consistency, and best practices.
  •  Independently drive resolution of complex data and analytics issues, setting direction for the team and ensuring delivery of intuitive, compelling outputs that inform business decisions and strategy.
  • Champion the adoption of metrics, dashboards, and insights across the organization, promoting a data‑driven decision‑making culture and ensuring analytics are used as a core business resource.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience writing Microsoft SQL Server relational database queries, stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
  • 3+ years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders
     

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years developing Power BI dashboards
  • 5+ years developing Tableau dashboards or reports with Report Builder

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule (at least 3 days in office/week)
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Candidate must reside within a reasonable commute to a location listed in the posting
