About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to lead documentation, training, and enablement efforts within the Information Protection Domain (IPD) function.
In this role, you will:
Provide information security consultation to improve awareness and compliance with Enterprise Information Security policy, processes and standards
Perform remediation of security assessment review issues, complex ad hoc data, and reporting to support information security risk management
Provide guidance and direction in reviewing assessment findings and mitigating controls to optimize information security
Identify and direct information asset portfolio reconciliations and certifications
Provide advanced data aggregation and data of information security risk exposure
Develop and deliver Information Security Education Awareness and Training in accordance with the Enterprise Information Security Program standards
Review draft and proposed control standards for business impact and recommend modifications or clarifications as required
Conduct security control testing and consultation with stakeholders
Evaluate and interpret internal and Enterprise Information Security policies, processes and standards, and provide recommendations to improve them
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in information security, data protection, or control documentation
Strong understanding of data protection controls including data obfuscation, data scanning, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Experience developing technical documentation and training materials
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GLBA, PCI, SOX) and audit requirements
Experience with documentation and knowledge management on platforms such as SharePoint and Confluence
Strong communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Experience with the protection of confidential production data, processes, playbooks, and evidence requirements
Familiarity with enterprise data protection programs and control lifecycles
Experience developing training and enablement strategies
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
Experience with Jira or similar workflow tools
Demonstrated ability to establish standards across distributed teams
Job Expectations:
Support controls that ensure production data is not improperly used in non-production environments through approved data protection solutions, including enterprise data scanning and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
Ensure control documentation, training materials, and enablement strategies are clear, standardized, and aligned to audit and regulatory expectations.
Lead creation and standardization of IPD documentation including playbooks, evidence guidance, and user documentation
Define and enforce documentation standards aligned to IPD policy, control requirements, and audit expectations
Develop and deliver targeted training and enablement for application teams and control operators
Translate data protection controls into clear, actionable guidance
Manage and maintain knowledge repositories (e.g., SharePoint and Confluence)
Support audit readiness by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and evidence-aligned
Partner with risk, audit, governance, engineering, and line-of-business stakeholders to validate documentation and remediate gaps
Track and report on documentation coverage, training adoption, and enablement effectiveness
Ensure alignment with enterprise risk and control frameworks and Information Security policies
