About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Mortgage Loan Administration Specialist to join our Tax and Escrow Team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Lending Operations (CIBLO). Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Review and clear escrow analysis exceptions before making the escrow analysis live
  • Process tax and insurance refunds via check or wire through Cash Workflow
  • Open ticket requests with the tax vendor for duplicate payments, refund status inquiries, and related items; forward real estate tax bills, PILOT bills, sewer and water bills, and other applicable documentation
  • Generate and send letters to borrowers or asset managers, including escrow analysis, pay direct, non-escrow payment of delinquent tax, paid under protest, unsecured tax bill requests, tax shortfall requests, tenant pay, zero tax report, agency check to borrower, and related correspondence
  • Manage a commercial property tax portfolio of escrowed and non-escrow loans
  • Monitor and pay property taxes in advance of the due date
  • Review tax reports and resolve exceptions in a timely manner
  • Process the Daily Tax Disbursement File as needed
  • Respond to customer, team member, and vendor requests for information

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial lending operations and/or commercial mortgage servicing
  • Experience reviewing tax reports and resolving related exceptions
  • Experience analyzing and processing information in a high-volume operational environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, documentation quality, and timely follow through
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize competing deadlines, and manage multiple tasks with limited direction
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond professionally to customers, team members, and vendors
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal partners to resolve issues and support business needs
