About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support enterprise application delivery, platform engineering, DevOps automation, and production enablement initiatives. This role requires a strong technical background in software engineering, CI/CD automation, container platforms, observability, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will partner with application teams, understand business and technical requirements, drive solutions from concept to implementation, and provide operational support across the software delivery lifecycle.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large-scale planning and execution of platform engineering and DevOps strategies

  • Design, develop, test, automate, deploy, and support solutions across application and infrastructure domains

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform tooling

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across applications, middleware, containers, Kubernetes platforms, networking, and infrastructure layers

  • Partner closely with application teams to understand business requirements, use cases, and technical challenges

  • Drive projects with a strong sense of ownership and accountability from inception through production support

  • Support platform migration, modernization, containerization, and cloud-native adoption efforts

  • Implement and maintain observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices

  • Collaborate with peers, architects, application teams, and management to deliver scalable and supportable solutions

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers

  • Participate in release activities, platform support, production deployments, and incident resolution as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of build, deployment, automation, and configuration management experience within Linux and Unix environments

  • 4+ years of Gradle experience

  • 4+ years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire technology stack, including applications, middleware, containers, networking, and infrastructure

  • 4+ years of Linux operating system experience

  • 4+ years of Shell scripting experience (Bash/KornShell/POSIX shell)

  • 4+ years of Python development and automation experience

  • 4+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

  • 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) platforms

  • 4+ years of experience with source control platforms such as GitHub and Git workflows

  • 4+ years of experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with GitHub Actions

  • 3+ years of experience with Harness CD or similar deployment automation platforms

  • 3+ years of experience with Jenkins and enterprise CI/CD tooling

  • 3+ years of experience working with SSL/TLS certificates, certificate lifecycle management, and application security integrations

  • 3+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting load balancing technologies (F5, AVI, NGINX, HAProxy, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience in application observability and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics

  • 3+ years of experience supporting platform engineering and production support functions

  • 3+ years of experience with JIRA and Agile delivery methodologies

  • Experience working with SDLC processes, release management, and deployment governance

  • Experience with SPLOC (SPLUNK Observability) or similar enterprise governance frameworks

  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service mesh, and container security concepts

  • Experience supporting middleware platforms such as Tomcat, NGINX, Java runtimes, and related technologies

  • Knowledge of infrastructure, networking, DNS, certificates, and application onboarding processes

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively work with application teams, stakeholders, and technology partners

  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives and deliver results in a fast-paced environment


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative DevOps and platform engineering environment

  • Participate in production support activities, deployment events, and incident management as needed

  • Partner with application teams to understand business drivers and translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and technical leadership while remaining hands-on in implementation and support activities

  • Support enterprise modernization, automation, and platform adoption initiatives across the organization

Pay range:

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
