About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (ServiceNow) in Technology as part of Enterprise Services Technology within Cybersecurity.
We’re hiring a Lead ServiceNow Engineer to take ownership of development across a highly complex, enterprise-level platform. If you’re a hands-on builder and technical leader who wants to design, code, and drive enterprise-scale solutions—this role is built for you. This is not a ServiceNow Administrator role—this is a true engineering position focused on building, coding, and delivering scalable solutions from the ground up.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives with broad impact
Design, build, and deliver custom ServiceNow solutions using best practices
Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
Develop tables, integrations, workflows, business rules, and scripting
Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and enterprise-aligned
Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and influence platform strategy.
Translate technical concepts into clear demos and business-facing solutions
Mentor and guide engineers
Heavy hands-on development — not just configuration
Lead and influence enterprise-scale ServiceNow architecture

Required Qualifications
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of ServiceNow development experience
ServiceNow certification: (CSA) Certified Systems Administrator
Desired Qualifications:
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in any discipline
Experience with AI development tools: both Service-Now specific (Build Agent and/or NOW Assist) and platform-agnostic (Devin, Claude etc.)
- Advanced experience creating and maintaining ServiceNow Catalog Items
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
1+ years of Jira experience
1+ years of Agile experience
Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to work occasional non-standard hours to support system deployments, upgrades, and critical business initiatives.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00Benefits
