About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant


In this role, you will:

  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards

  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data

  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews

  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualification :

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Master's degree (MBA, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Strategy Analytics, or Consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.
  • Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have:

  • Experience within Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Financial Services, or Consulting.
  • Experience working with customer analytics, revenue analytics, wallet-share analysis, acquisition, retention, and profitability frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, R, Machine Learning, and AI/LLM technologies.
  • Experience building AI Agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI, OpenAI, or similar platforms.

Job Expectation :

Strategic Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with senior business leaders, product teams, sales organizations, and strategy groups to understand business priorities and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple business segments and organizational levels.
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and consultative problem solving.
  • Manage expectations, prioritize competing business requests, and ensure successful delivery of high-impact initiatives.

End-to-End Project Ownership

  • Lead projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from problem definition and requirement gathering to solution development, implementation, and business adoption.
  • Develop structured analytical approaches to solve complex business problems.
  • Ensure analytical solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive project governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communications.

Deep-Dive Analytics & Statistical Modeling

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover business opportunities, risks, and customer trends.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques, predictive modeling, segmentation, clustering, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing to solve business challenges.
  • Develop customer profitability, wallet-share, retention, acquisition, and growth analytics.
  • Identify key business drivers and quantify their impact on organizational performance.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and convert findings into actionable business recommendations.

Business Insight Generation & Storytelling

  • Transform complex analytical findings into compelling business narratives.
  • Develop clear and concise executive summaries tailored to business audiences.
  • Create data-driven stories that influence strategic decisions and business investments.
  • Present insights in a manner that bridges technical analysis and business outcomes.

Executive Presentations & CXO Communication

  • Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership and CXO audiences.
  • Present analytical findings, recommendations, risks, and opportunities to leadership teams.
  • Simplify complex methodologies into business-friendly frameworks.
  • Support strategic reviews, business planning discussions, and leadership forums.

Artificial Intelligence & Agent Development

  • Leverage Generative AI and LLM-based solutions to enhance analytics efficiency and business value.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered agents using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and related AI technologies.
  • Build intelligent analytical assistants capable of interacting with business users, retrieving insights, and automating analytical workflows.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for enterprise adoption.
  • Integrate AI solutions with structured and unstructured data sources to improve decision-making.

Advanced Analytics & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses and reporting processes.
  • Develop innovative analytical frameworks that improve business outcomes.
  • Introduce modern analytics techniques, AI capabilities, and best practices into the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement of analytical methodologies and delivery processes.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor junior analysts and data scientists.
  • Promote analytical excellence, innovation, and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Technology, Product, Finance, and Business Leadership.
  • Contribute to capability building in analytics, visualization, storytelling, and AI adoption.
