About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Manager to lead the Derivative Confirmations organization in India.
This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and risk management across the documentation, confirmation, and settlement lifecycle for OTC Derivative products, including Credit, Foreign Exchange, Equity, Commodity, and Rates derivatives. The leader will oversee individual contributors supporting a diverse client base across multiple legal entities and product lines within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB).
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop team of individual contributors and managers working on complex issues
Support the lifecycle of Institutional trades while managing a larger group or multiple groups covering the following functions; client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization
Resolve complex issues and processes within Institutional Investment Operations
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives and strategy
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Institutional Investment Operations group
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Leadership experience
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Derivatives Operations with extensive knowledge of OTC Derivative products and trade lifecycle processes.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing and developing teams across multiple locations in India, with a focus on performance, engagement, and operational excellence.
- FINRA Series 99 certification or ability to obtain certification
- Strong expertise in Derivative Confirmations, Settlements, Documentation, and Operational Risk Management.
- Deep understanding of ISDA documentation, industry standards, and regulatory requirements impacting Derivatives operations.
- Experience leading operational transformation, process improvement, and technology-driven initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations functions.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
