About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Systems Consultant


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in providing technology initiatives for simple to moderately complex business problems within technology business systems
  • Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements
  • Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate moderately complex business problems and lead a team to provide comprehensive technological solutions
  • Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes
  • Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables
  • Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Lead complex enterprise infrastructure transformation programs from initiation through implementation and closure.
  • Develop and manage program roadmaps, milestones, schedules, dependencies, budgets, and delivery plans.
  • Drive execution across multiple workstreams to achieve strategic business and technology objectives.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, risk management, issue resolution, and governance.
  • Lead Data Center Modernization and Data Center Exit initiatives across Retail and Commercial Banking platforms.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide migration activities involving application, infrastructure, network, middleware, cloud, and operations teams.
  • Drive modernization programs including OpenShift (OCP) migrations, operating system upgrades, platform consolidation, and cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Ensure platform scalability, resilience, and operational stability throughout transformation efforts.
  • Lead release planning, release governance, and production deployment activities across multiple applications and technology platforms.
  • Coordinate release readiness reviews, implementation planning, dependency management, and production cutover activities.
  • Govern change control processes and ensure compliance with enterprise change management standards.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, implementation approvals, rollback planning, and post-release validations.
  • Partner with application, infrastructure, operations, and support teams to ensure successful and low-risk production releases.
  • Establish program governance, manage risks, issues, dependencies, and executive reporting.
  •  Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, audit, and enterprise governance requirements.
  • Provide program health visibility, strategic recommendations, and escalation support for key decisions.
  • Partner with senior leaders, technology executives, business stakeholders, application owners, and delivery teams.
  • Provide executive-level communications, program health reporting, risk summaries, milestone updates, and strategic recommendations.
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committee reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Build alignment across multiple organizations to drive successful delivery outcomes.
  • Plan and execute complex migration, cutover, and implementation activities for mission-critical banking systems.
  • Lead production readiness assessments, deployment planning, rollback strategies, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions with minimal downtime and customer impact.
  • Drive operational readiness and business continuity planning throughout transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure high availability, service continuity, and operational resilience for critical banking platforms.
  • Strengthen platform stability, scalability, and performance while reducing operational and technology risk.
  • Support long-term modernization, compliance, risk reduction, and cost-optimization objectives.
  • Maintain adherence to enterprise security, regulatory, and operational standards.


Job Expectations:

  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization and transformation programs.
  • Strong experience in Release Management, Change Management, Program Governance, Risk Management, and Executive Reporting.
  • Experience managing production deployments, cutovers, migrations, and production readiness activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Experience supporting Banking or Financial Services technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of OpenShift (OCP), Cloud Technologies, Infrastructure Modernization, Data Center Migration, and Platform Engineering.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
