Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer - Windows Administration

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer.

In this role, you will:

• Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence platform support solutions for highly complex business and technical needs or technology initiatives
• Lead highly complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teams related to large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional areas
• Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
• Translate advanced technology experience, in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
• Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
• Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
• Provide training and mentoring to less experienced team members on guidebook changes and lead team to meet technical deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Windows administration & Troubleshooting: Deep technical expertise in Windows Server operating systems ( 2016,2019, 2025), including system administration, performance tuning, kernel and OS-level troubleshooting, patch management, clustering, high availability, log analysis, service management, security hardening, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex production incidents in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server clustering technologies, including Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), SQL Always On Availability Groups, Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC), quorum management, cluster health monitoring, disaster recovery, performance tuning, failover testing, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of mission-critical, high-availability database environments.
• Deep expertise in Veritas InfoScale Manager, with proven ability to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot high-availability clusters, storage replication, service group failovers, split-brain scenarios, cluster upgrades, disaster recovery solutions, and complex production incidents across Windows and Linux
• Knowledge on enterprise virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, OpenShift Virtualization, and cloud-based virtualization technologies. Hands-on expertise with VMware infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter, clustering, high availability, workload migration,  lifecycle upgrades, and performance troubleshooting.

• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast routing, QoS, and low-latency network architectures, with expertise in packet-level analysis, protocol troubleshooting, network performance optimization, and root cause analysis across complex enterprise and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience in administrating and troubleshooting enterprise-scale network infrastructure, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers etc.
• Experience in packet-level analysis, routing and switching diagnostics, network performance tuning, traffic flow analysis, latency and packet loss investigation, protocol troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex production incidents across multi-site, hybrid, nd high-availability environments using tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Splunk, and ThousandEyes.
• Deep technical knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, Object Storage, replication, and data protection solutions. Proven expertise in storage performance analysis, latency and throughput optimization and connectivity diagnostics,
• Expertise with Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Elastic, or similar platforms for telemetry analysis, proactive alerting, performance monitoring, and root cause determination.
• Knowledge on Splunk Enterprise and observability platform, including log ingestion, data onboarding, indexing, search optimization, dashboard development, alerting, forwarder management.
• Hands-on experience automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, and remediation workflows using Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash etc.
• Work Location - Bangalore / Hyderabad
