About the Role: 

We are seeking a motivated Data Management Analyst to join the Corporate & Investment Banking Data Management team.

The role will support data initiatives covering CIB trades and positions, including business requirements, data analysis, data quality, governance, controls, and delivery coordination. The analyst will work closely with business, technology, operations, and data governance teams to deliver reliable, well-controlled, and business-aligned data solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
  • Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions
  • Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates
  • Support issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis
  • Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements
  • Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources
  • Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls
  • Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop an understanding of CIB products, trade lifecycle, positions, and related data flows.
  • Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and reconciliation to identify data quality issues.
  • Support investigation and remediation of data defects, control gaps, and production issues.
  • Coordinate with business, technology, operations, and governance stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Support Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, testing, implementation, and post-production validation.
  • Maintain clear documentation covering data definitions, lineage, mappings, controls, and business rules.
  • Assess new data sources for suitability, completeness, quality, and business use.
  • Track risks, dependencies, issues, and action items, and escalate them appropriately.
  • Contribute to the modernization of CIB data platforms and integration with the CIB Data Marketplace.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • University degree in Business / Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Management, Banking – Treasury/ Capital Market/ Investment/ Financial Risk Management
  • 2+ years of experience with Data mapping, data modelling, databases and root cause analysis
  • 2+ Years of experience in ETL, Python, Power BI and Tableau desired
  • Financial product knowledge/exposure in one or more below:
  • Derivatives (any asset class- Equities, Credit, FX, Commodities)- Listed products and/or OTC
  • SFTs- Securities financing transaction- Securities borrowing/lending, repos, reverse repos, tri-party repos/rev repos
  • Collateral management
  • Intraday
  • Good understanding of Market related reference data
  • Excellent SQL/Hive skills - queries, joins, data modelling, relational DB concepts
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience in data management, business analysis, data analysis, or project delivery, preferably within financial services.
  • Understanding of investment banking products, trade lifecycle, positions, or front-to-back business processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in requirements gathering, user stories, process documentation, data mapping, and acceptance criteria.
  • Knowledge of data quality, data governance, metadata, lineage, data controls, and issue remediation is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience supporting Agile or Scrum-based delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL and data analysis skills are preferred.
  • Exposure to ETL, data lakes, cloud platforms, S3, Parquet, Python, or real-time data processing is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI or LLM-based tools is an added advantage.
