About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an inside sales/relationship manager for its Vendor Finance division supporting the construction industry. The inside sales/relationship manager role will be key to driving day-to-day partner engagement through outreach, transaction management and accommodating customer service-related requests.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in building and maintaining effective relationships with existing clients within their products or functional area, including sharing relevant information with coverage partners
- May be assigned a contractual territory and responsible for managing partner relationships to ensure deal opportunities are directed to the business, in alignment with agreement terms
- Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Independently review and analyze moderately complex client portfolios or partner with senior peers on more complex portfolios for key issues related to cash flow, liquidity, leverage, working capital, debt coverage, collateral and enterprise value analysis, and repayment sources, including for use in periodic reviews as well as interim underwriting memoranda
- Partner with coverage teams within the context of individual deals and client relationships to understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions to identify and execute on opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancings
- Perform regular portfolio reviews to manage risk and lead problem loan resolutions, where applicable
- Collaborate and consult with peers and functional partners to resolve client servicing requests and contribute to large-scale planning related to a given product and/or specialty’s business objectives
- Independently resolve moderately complex situations while developing a sound understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet business objectives and partner with senior peers for more complex issues
- Partner with product management functional partners to provide feedback on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively
- May serve as a mentor for lower level staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Equipment Finance, Vendor Finance, Commercial Banking, Credit, or Relationship Management.
- Working knowledge of commercial credit principles, financial statement analysis, and transaction structuring.
- Experience supporting client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth and portfolio expansion.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with credit, risk, operations, legal, and product partners.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience preparing business reviews, client presentations, and financing proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence partners without direct authority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and comfort leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support strategic recommendations.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
- Current requirements are 4 days in-office
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
