About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Expense Coordinator (Operations Processor) to join the Wells Fargo Meetings & Events (WFME) team. This role supports post-event reconciliation activities and is responsible for ensuring accurate financial tracking, data validation, policy compliance, and timely completion of event closeout activities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. This individual will partner with planners and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, maintain data integrity, meet service level agreements (SLAs), and support operational excellence initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform moderately complex operations duties in support of either a service center or department environment

  • Require considerable knowledge of company personnel policies and practices

  • Collect data and prepare related operational reports

  • Prepare input forms for automated data processing system

  • Utilize the company's internal operations to perform duties

  • Coordinate projects

  • Furnish information to authorized persons

  • Provide guidance to all levels of employees regarding personnel policies and procedures requiring some policy interpretation


Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of operations support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent demonstrated experience

  • 1+ year of operations, reconciliation, finance support, accounting support, administrative operations, event operations, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.

  • Experience processing, reviewing, or validating financial or operational transactions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Job Expectations:

  • Experience with financial reconciliation, invoice validation, expense management, procurement support, or accounting operations.

  • Experience supporting meetings, events, hospitality, travel, or related operational functions.

  • Experience using workflow, event management, or enterprise operations systems.

  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.

  • Experience performing peer quality reviews or serving as a subject matter resource.

  • Process improvement and operational efficiency experience.

  • Ability to identify trends, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform end-to-end reconciliation activities for meetings and events.

  • Review event documentation, invoices, attendee records, and supporting financial information for accuracy and completeness.

  • Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and exceptions.

  • Ensure reconciliation activities are completed within established service level agreements and quality standards.

  • Validate event spend and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records in event management systems and tracking tools.

  • Partner with planners and stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve outstanding reconciliation items.

  • Conduct quality reviews and assist in identifying process gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support implementation, testing, and adoption of operational tools and process enhancements.

  • Serve as a resource to teammates by sharing knowledge and best practices.

  • Escalate moderately complex issues and recommend solutions when appropriate.

  • Adhere to operational controls, risk management requirements, and records retention standards
