About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Solutions Consultant – RIA Solutions (Business Development) to support advisor acquisition and transition efforts through a consultative, technology-driven diligence process. This role partners closely with Business Development, Strategy, Product, and Partner teams to help prospective advisors evaluate operating models, technology platforms, and solution architecture as part of their transition decision.
The Solutions Consultant serves as a trusted advisor—translating complex technology ecosystems and integration considerations into clear, actionable recommendations—while enabling deeper engagement earlier in the diligence process and improving advisor confidence and conversion readiness.
In this role, you will:
Lead consultative, solution-oriented diligence discussions with prospective RIAs, focusing on technology, platform design, and operating model alignment
Guide advisors through structured discovery to assess current state, define future state goals, and identify constraints
Translate advisor needs into tailored solution recommendations across technology platforms, integrations, and partner capabilities
Serve as a subject matter expert throughout the diligence process, focusing on advisory guidance rather than product selling
Provide expertise on RIA technology ecosystems, including custody platforms, portfolio management systems, reporting tools, integrations, and workflows
Partner with Product, Technology, and Partner Services teams to validate solution feasibility and readiness
Support diligence workflows and ensure solution considerations are clearly documented and consistently applied
Help advisors understand tradeoffs, dependencies, and sequencing related to technology and platform decisions
Collaborate with Business Development and Advisor Transition leaders to enable earlier and deeper consultative engagement in the deal lifecycle
Support pro forma and deal discussions by providing solution context that informs financial and operational decisions
Improve business development efficiency by reducing late-stage friction, rework, and misalignment during advisor transitions
Contribute to the design and refinement of repeatable diligence frameworks grounded in solution architecture
Develop solution narratives, diagrams, and artifacts to support advisor decision-making and internal alignment
Provide feedback to inform product strategy, partner ecosystem evolution, and go-to-market improvements

7+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with Registered Investment Advisors (RIA), wealth management firms, or advisor platforms
