About this role:

The Consumer Technology Architecture & Engineering organization supports Consumer Technology through enterprise-scale application infrastructure, platform engineering, modernization, resiliency, security, and operational stability capabilities. This role is aligned to Application Infrastructure & Engineering and is accountable for shaping infrastructure strategy, engineering standards, platform direction, and modernization priorities across a complex Consumer Technology environment.

We are seeking a Technology Director to lead Application Infrastructure & Engineering for Consumer Technology. This leader will direct a senior engineering organization, including Distinguished Engineers and Principal Engineers, responsible for infrastructure patterns, platform engineering standards, lifecycle planning, operational resiliency, and cross-functional execution of high-impact engineering initiatives.

In this role, you will:

  • Set the engineering strategy and delivery direction for Application Infrastructure & Engineering across Consumer Technology
  • Lead a senior technical organization of Distinguished Engineers and Principal Engineers accountable for infrastructure patterns, platform engineering standards, lifecycle planning, and modernization priorities
  • Provide technical governance for infrastructure-related decisions affecting application hosting, middleware, platform services, automation, observability, and operational resiliency
  • Guide target-state architecture and ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for availability, recoverability, security, compliance, and continuity of service
  • Direct execution of large-scale infrastructure initiatives and remediation efforts across product, architecture, application development, CTO, operations, and shared services teams
  • Remove delivery blockers, align dependencies, drive tradeoff decisions, and ensure engineering commitments are met in a fast-paced environment with significant business and enterprise impact
  • Establish expectations for technical depth, solution quality, innovation, operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage strategic resourcing, budget inputs, vendor alignment, and prioritization of engineering capacity to support infrastructure, resiliency, modernization, and risk reduction priorities
  • Influence senior technology leaders, peer organizations, and enterprise architecture partners on platform direction, risk posture, engineering priorities, and delivery outcomes
  • Translate complex infrastructure issues, risks, and recommendations into clear, business-aligned messaging for executive audiences
  • Partner with Consumer Technology engineering, infrastructure, operations, architecture, and shared services teams to coordinate execution, support readiness, dependency management, and operational issue resolution
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development, engineering innovation, and continuous improvement to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of architecture governance, risk management, operational stability, and modernization in a large, regulated environment
  • Significant experience in application infrastructure, platform engineering, middleware, hosting, resiliency, and enterprise-scale engineering practices
  • Experience leading highly skilled Distinguished Engineers, Principal Engineers, or comparable senior technical talent
  • Proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries and translate complex technical issues into business-focused recommendations
  • Strong experience with strategic planning, financial and resource management, roadmap development, and cross-functional delivery leadership
  • Executive communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making experience in high-complexity environments
  • Experience leading, designing, and executing development activities in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Experience using AI-enabled capabilities to improve engineering productivity, solution quality, and speed of delivery
  • Broad technical background in infrastructure engineering, software engineering, and modern architecture patterns
  • Experience partnering with enterprise architecture, CTO, operations, product, application development, and shared services teams
  • Experience managing vendor alignment, engineering capacity, and onshore/offshore staffing models where applicable
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Relevant technical or leadership certifications may be beneficial

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
