Principal Technology Business Services Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo Technology is seeking a Principal Technology Business Services Consultant, as part of the Technology Change & Investment Portfolio Management team. As a Principal Technology Business Services Consultant, you will partner with the group leader, technology leaders and team members to manage the portfolio of investments that support the technology strategy, the annual investment planning process, monitoring and reporting portfolio initiatives, and supporting initiative definition as needed.  This also includes generating Executive reporting that provides consistent, accurate, and transparent information to convey progress toward the Technology strategy, its portfolio products and programs and other strategic priorities and the overall operational health.

The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to build strong internal relationships with technology and business executives while working in a highly visible, fast paced environment.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a top subject matter professional to lead complex, innovative, high risk, and diverse initiatives with companywide cross technology impact, or with significant scope, cost, and benefits
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
  • Define, plan, develop, and implement or consult on major information technology strategies, processes, or ongoing programs with broad cross technology impact
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding technology matters to develop programs that are effective, efficient, and which significantly influence the organization's business
  • Lead the technology team to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business and for execution of operational processes
  • Serve as an experienced advisor to more experienced leadership across the technology organizations or client lines of business


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience with strategic planning in a Corporate or Enterprise Technology environment


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with product/program financial management experience including tracking of benefits/objectives, executive level data synthesis and presentation development
  • Strategic portfolio and planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
  • Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Experience managing complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Serve as a portfolio subject matter expert preparing critical business updates, documents, presentations and other communications that describe the investment portfolio
  • Define, plan, develop, and implement or consult on major information technology strategies, processes, or ongoing programs within the portfolio with broad cross technology impact
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding technology matters to that support portfolio initiatives
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across multiple lines of business or the enterprise
  • Serve as an experienced advisor to more experienced leadership across the technology organizations or client lines of business

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
